• In case your ice maker appears sluggish, or if it produces small ice cubes, a dirty filter could be inhibiting the move of water to the system. Replace the water filter. After putting in the filter, run about 1 1/2 gallons of water from the dispenser to stop future water move problems. For optimum ice and water dispensing, GE recommends changing the water filter every six months.
• Inspect the water supply line for kinks and obstructions. A GE Monogram ice maker works the best when the water pressure ranges from 40 to 120 psi. If ice manufacturing is just too gradual to your style, set the freezer compartment to a lower temperature to encourage faster ice making.
• If the ice maker stops producing ice before the ice storage bin fills up, examine the bin for obstructions. The ice maker arm sometimes gets blocked in the upper position, which turns the ice maker off. Clear any obstacles, together with ice cubes chunks, to make sure the icemaker precisely detects when the bin is full.
