Frequently Asked Questions
U-Line makes functional refrigeration that preserves food, beverages, and wine. They design products to fit a modern lifestyle. U-Line is a leading America's under-counter refrigeration and under-counter icemaker manufacturer. To current industry-exclusive features like the highest nugget ice machine production and full-depth lower interiors on our 5 class products, they focus on making the best premium modular ice making, refrigeration, and wine preservation industry.
The most common cause of this problem on analog models is faulty temperature control. Located on the bottom of the unit, it is easily accessible for a diagnostic check. Replacing it with the new one is not such an easy task. It requires the help of professionals.
If you find your U-Line wine cooler not cooling correctly, it could be due to a defective thermostat or control board. Suppose the compressor is running and the internal temperature is equal to the room temperature. In that case, it is most likely a problem with a refrigerant leak. Also, check if the condenser fan motor is running. If not, the compressor will overheat and will cause temperature fluctuations.
U-Line makes stand-alone ice maker units and the ice makers as a part of the freezer units.
- If your U-Line ice maker is not producing enough ice, it might be a problem with internal temperature. The ice maker is programmed to start making ice at an internal temperature below 10°F. If the internal temperature is above that temperature mark, the ice production will slow down.
- Also, check the ice maker for proper operation.
- The stand-alone U-Line ice maker is not producing ice due to multiple possible reasons. Check the circulation pump, water inlet valve, compressor, condenser fan motor, temperature control, or the control board for proper operations.
This error indicates that the internal temperature was too high for a certain period (12 hours). The official explanation is shorted thermistor 1. But in reality, the thermistor is not sensing proper internal temperature. To check thermistor 1 we need to check the resistance of the thermistor at different temperatures. No resistance will indicate a shorted thermistor. If, for example, you leave the refrigerator door open overnight, it will show the code.
The essential element of wine storage temperature is stability. If you keep the wine in a stable environment between 40°F (7°C) and 65°F (21°C), it will preserve quality. A small 1-2 degree temperature fluctuation within a stable environment is acceptable. Larger temperature fluctuations can affect the cork's ability to seal, allowing the wine to leak from the bottle. The Right Temperature for red wine should be approximately 60°F (15°C), white wine 50°F - 55°F (10°C -12°C) and for sparling beverage approximately 45°F (7°C).
